Joe was instrumental in helping us at the Mexican National University (UNAM) to establish the first network link of Mexico to the Internet. He is remembered by us with gratitude, respect and admiration.

I worked with Joe at NCAR and found this wonderful man to be very compassionate, kind, and willing to help with a variety of computing issues. I am sure he will be missed by all those who knew him and I am sending my deepest sympathies to his family. Thank you for this opportunity.
