Mary Elizabeth Colacci Guyer

Mary Elizabeth Colacci Guyer, 80, of Louisville, Colorado passed away in Aurora on October 24, 2021. Mary lived most of her life in Louisville, graduated from Louisville High School, class of 1959 and attended University of Colorado. For many years Mary worked in the family business as general manager of Colacci's Restaurant in Louisville. Mary was an author and publisher of poetry and fiction and enjoyed a lifetime of writing, known to many for her thoughtful notes, cards and letters. In sports, Mary won awards for golfing, bowling and for playing saxophone. While in college she played with CU Men's Marching Band. Mary published her first novel in 2020. Mary was known for her compassionate heart and lifetime of service to others. Her home and her heart were open to all. She walked the path of faith throughout her life. Mary lost her first-born son, Frankie, when he was 3. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita Colacci Byrd, her father, Anthony Colacci and a younger sister, Toni Musgrove. She is survived by her 4th husband, Donald Guyer of Aurora and two sons, Michael Whitmore of Englewood and Kelly Stanton of Dacono.
