Mary Patete

1939 - 2023

Mary Ann Patete passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 28, 2023, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with her daughter by her side. Mary was 84 years old. Mary was born May 6, 1939, in Louisville, Colorado to Anthony and Amelia LaSalle. She graduated from Louisville High School in 1957. She was a popular cheerleader and drum majorette for the high school band. She made many lifelong friends and married her high school sweetheart, Frank "Butch" Patete, on May 5, 1962. Butch and Mary had three beautiful children together - Nicholas, Tony, and Aimee. Mary was a proud military wife and enjoyed traveling the world with Butch. She was a devoted mother who took immense pride in her children. She never missed a game or childhood event. Mary's love and support extended to her children's friends and classmates, as well. If their parents were unable to attend an event, they could always count on Mary to be there. Every child knew her name, and she was often stopped for hugs when out in public. When she was not helping others, you could always find Mary with a book in her hand. She is proceeded in death by her father, Anthony LaSalle, her mother, Amelia LaSalle, and her sister Barbara LaSalle. She is survived by her husband, Frank Patete, son Nicholas Patete and wife Irina, son Michael Anthony Patete and wife Pam, and her daughter, Aimee Tebow and husband Michael, along with her four grandchildren Landon, Tucker, Greisha and Anya. She is also survived by her brother Jeff LaSalle and wife Cindy. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 902 Grant Avenue, Louisville, Colorado. Reception to follow at the Elks Lodge at 12:30pm.
