Nobi:
I have greatly treasured our long friendship, started from when we shared an English class at Wayne State University over 70 years ago. We bonded over our treatment at the hands of our birth countries, and endured through all changes of our respective lives.
I will miss you greatly.

NobI was a sister in our shared philosophies of
Unitarian-Universalism and Humanism. We loved family and friends, travel, a good joke, fellowship, service to others.
She is remembered by a wide circle of persons as a sweet, soft-spoken, smiling, intelligent, human being.

My condolences to the families. I was fortunate to have her for my first and third grade teacher at Volney Smith Elementary. She meant a lot to me and taught us to say hello in Japanese. May she Rest In Peace.
