Dear Duane and family,
I will always remember Shirley Gillard Leonard as a very special lady. Having known her for most of my life and I am 87 years old, I also went to school with her brother Dick who graduated with me at Boulder High School in l949. The Gillard family was a
wonderful family and Shirley was such a sincere Christian lady and we had such good times at The Methodist Church and I have many wonderful memories of we gals working together in many aspects of the church. She always had that glowing and warm smile and was a delight to be around. She was such a beautiful lady both inside and out. I am so thankful that I had the privilege of being her friend for so many years even though in the past few years I had not seen her but will always remember her and her family. What a dear she was. My boys' Ken and Roger loved her too!
My sincere and deepest sympathy to her family.
May God be with you all in your sorrow and may He comfort you and surround you all with His love. We will see her again in heaven. That is a promise from our God in Heaven.
My love, Jeanette Bell and family, Boulder, CO

At church, I will remember Shirley bringing the Scripture to life with her awesome recitation skills. Shirley was a great, colorful woman!

Dear Duane,
Will always remember your dear Shirley, especially when I was only a youngster and she was a devoted waitress at Woolworth's. My mother(Nadine Tripp)and I enjoyed her waiting on us every Sat. for lunch. She and you were in love then and we enjoyed hearing all about your romance.Oh! those happy endearing days!
You will sadly miss her but have have many wonderful memories. The Lenoard's were good friends of of my mom and dad.I also remember you Duane and what a wonderful pair you were.
Heartfelt sympathy to all your family.
