A Celebration of Life Service for Clara Gray Bilek will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens.
Clara passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Jackson Madison General Hospital.
She was born in Jacinto on September 26, 1932 to the late Marlin and Pearl Gray. Clara spent her career working for Western Electric, where she was known for her strong work ethic and her kindness and willingness to help others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence Bilek; brothers, Dwayne Gray, Bill Gray, Donald Gray and Joe Gray; twin sister, Cleta Burnett; and other sister, Kathleen Barar.
Clara is survived by her son, Danny Chase (Sharon); grandchildren, Danelle Chase, Joey Chase (Fanny) and Casey Chase; great grandchildren, Gina Infante, Jordan Infante, Lawrence Chase and Mackenzie Chase; great-great grandson, Wesley Ulrich; and sister-in-law, Sarah Gray.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Clara's sister-in-law, Sarah Gray who has been so helpful.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
