David Wilson Hunninen, the loving son of Paul William Hunninen and Vivian Smith Campbell Hunninen Bachman, died at his home in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 56, after an exacerbation of his diabetic illness. He died on August 17, 2025.
David is survived by his mother, Vivian, of Memphis; his father Paul, of Glen; and his sisters, Kathleen Aguinaga of Memphis and Gina Hunninen Holland (Greg) of Centreville, Mich.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Hunninen.
He was an avid football fan, especially for the Miami Dolphins and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
David was a skilled player of badminton and enjoyed most sports. He loved to catfish.
Family and friends gathered to celebrate his life in Columbus, following his cremation.
