Don Modlin Obituary
Services for Don Modlin, 86 of Corinth, were held Thursday at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment in Jacob's Chapel Cemetery in Ripley.
Mr. Modlin died Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 at his residence.
He was born July 19, 1937 in Lauderdale County, MS to Guy Modlin and Rosa Hargis Modlin. He retired as an electrician and refrigeration maintenance worker and was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church. He served his country in the U S Army Reserve. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Dallas Cowboy football. He loved having cookouts with his family.
Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Bertha O'Leary Modlin; his sons, Jeff Modlin (Janie), Dennis Modlin, Neal Modlin (Rhonda), David Modlin (Jamie), Terry Modlin (Kelley), Brian Modlin and Nathan Modlin; his daughters, Donna Oliver, Kelly Bohne, Tracy Stanfield and Katie Modlin; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, his brother, Franklin Holmes; his sister, Leverne Modlin; two nieces, Deborah Judd and Diana Miller; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Modlin and his mother Rosa Hargis Modlin.
Pallbearers were Dennis Modlin, Jeff Modlin, Dustin Modlin, Neal Modlin, Brian Modlin and Matt Johnson. Bro. Floyd Lamb officiated the service with David Modlin delivering the eulogy.
