Huie E. Burcham, Jr. passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at StoneRidge of Farmington. Huie was born on May 7,1929, to the late Hughie E. Burcham and Adele Kenmar Burcham. A graduate of Glendale High School, class of 1948, Huie went on to serve in the United States Army, where he would serve his country and his community. Huie was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in gardening, fishing, and hunting. Each year he looked forward to his Nebraska pheasant hunting trips where he created memories with friends and family. It was said that if Huie was going to get a deer, it would be within the first hour of opening day. He also cherished time spent turkey hunting with his brother. He loved attending Bluegrass music events and spending time with his Blue Grass friends. Above all, Huie treasured the moments spent with family and friends making memories that would last a lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Huie was preceded in death by his sister, Wanza Wingo, and son-in-law, Don Taylor.
Huie is survived by his wife, Lila Burcham; daughters, Corinne Pryor (John) of Columbia, S.C., Nancy Stults (Tommy) of Memphis and Cathy Taylor of Counce; brother, Karey Burcham (Shirley Tutor) of Glen; two granddaughters, Heather Paulus (David) of Ft.
