James Coln Obituary

James D. Coln, 78, died Jan. 12, 2022, in Iuka. Services were held on Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with burial at Lorraine Baptist Church Cemetery in Guys, Tenn.

Born in McNairy County on Feb. 21, 1943, he was the son of the late William Ecil Coln and Annie Mildred Barnes Coln. He married Charlotte Adele Pazoga on Aug. 6, 1973. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after mostly serving as a dental lab technician. After his military service, he owned J.C. Dental Lab in Michie for many years.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a big supporter of his kids and grandkids in all of their sports and other endeavors. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, going on cruises and working on his tractors.

Survivors are his children, Jamie Coln Leitschuh and husband Trey of Michie, Bobbi Coln of Bradford, Tenn., and Mike Coln and wife Stephanie of Corinth; and four grandchildren: Jacob Leitschuh, Samuel Leitschuh, Lyric Coln and Jameson Coln.
