Funeral services for Leon Burcham, 85, of Corinth, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Interment followed at Vanderford Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from noon to service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Bro. Keith Burcham and Bro. Darren Howell officiated the service.
Pallbearers were Thelton Vanderford, Brent Vanderford, Michael Holmes, Gary Bishop, Glen Mynatt and Brendix Glasgo.
Born November 2, 1939, in Rienzi, Mr. Burcham passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at his home. He was a retired crew chief for Mississippi Forestry with 37 1/2 years of service. Leon loved his family and spending time with them especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Leon was one of the original musicians for Corinth Picking on the Square, he loved playing Blue Grass music and the banjo. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that would help anyone in need.
Leon is survived by his wife of 65 years, Clydean Burcham; son, Terry Burcham; daughter, Tammy Rickett; 2 grandchildren, Taylor Wooley (Terry) and Caden Burcham; brother, Bobby Burcham (Peggy); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Burcham; mother, Addie Burcham; brothers, Lester Burcham (Idoma) and Ray Burcham and his sister, Marie Hayes (George).
