Services to celebrate the life of Patricia Anne Purvis Jobe, 88, will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 2 p.m., with burial to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will begin at noon until service time.
Patricia Anne Jobe was born on June 7, 1937, in Corinth, and passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at Dogwood Assisted Living Center at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Wright (Bill) and Lucille Josephine Purvis, and a brother, Billy Purvis.
Patsy grew up in Corinth and graduated from Corinth High School in 1955. She worked in various jobs around Corinth, from her beginnings at Wurlitzer Industries as a secretary to over twenty years as a daycare assistant for three-year-olds at First Presbyterian Church daycare. She married Donald Ray Jobe of Corinth in 1959, and they were married for forty-two years. She was fiercely devoted to her family, church family and friends, always showing a kind heart and giving nature. Patsy was a faithful Christian and a member of Foote Street Church of Christ since her childhood. She enjoyed any activity involving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As long as her health permitted, she attended events in their lives. Patsy loved her little group of "church ladies" and enjoyed countless hours together with them at church events and dinners together.
She is survived by her sons, Brent Jobe (Heather) and Brad Jobe (Vonda); grandchildren, Madison Darby (Bishop), Ian Jobe (Keely), Brendan Jobe, and Halle Henry (Layne); great-grandchildren, Noe' Darby, Celeste Darby, Ash Jobe, Emme Henry, and a host of family and friends.
