William Hodum Obituary

Services for William Earl Hodum, 94, are set for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hodum died May 8, 2023, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1928 in Alcorn Co. to the late Andy and Martha Hodum. He was a logger at an early age and later went to work at Tyrone from where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, junking, gardening and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyvone Hodum; parents; daughter, Susan Switcher; grandson, Jessie Mitchell; great granddaughter, Shauna Kemp-Hurd; three brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors are his daughters, Pam Weatherford (David), Sandra Inman (Ronnie), Sherry Williams (David); grandchildren, Coby Watson (Daniel), Megan Ashe (Jason Sanders), Taylor Weatherford (Lilee), Tara Kemp, Eric Kemp and Corey Kemp; great grandchildren, Kelly Ashe, Allie Ashe, Faye Watson, Hank Watson, Caden Kemp, Jacob Kemp and Talon Kemp; and a host of other family and friends.
