Anthony Victor Butera, 82, of North Olmsted, Ohio, formerly of Connellsville, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Connellsville, a son of the late Salvatore and Anna (Mastroianni) Butera.
After graduating from Connellsville High School with the Class of 1954, he relocated to the Cleveland area, where he was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a millwright for 45 years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Heiby) Butera; two children, Eric Butera of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Nicole Butera of Fairview Park, Ohio; five grandchildren, Stan and Diana Butera, and Aidan, Madison and Hailey Licata; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor and George "Bucky" Butera; and three sisters, Mary Thomas, Caroline Mickey, and Dolores Herchko.
Funeral rites will take place this afternoon in Cleveland, with entombment at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmstead, Ohio.
