It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian Scott Wilson, 39, of Connellsville, on Sept. 21, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 10, 1978.
He leaves behind his devoted parents, G. Frank and Sharon ( Welsh) Wilson; and loving brothers, Scott A. Wilson (Lori Spong-Eye) and Robert F. Wilson.
He also is fondly remembered by his uncles, Robert Welsh (Caroline) and Pastor Bruce E. Wilson (Judy); and aunts, Sandra Allen (Mark), Wanda Reynolds (William) and Robbie Welsh; and was highly regarded and loved by his many special cousins.
Brian was predeceased by grandparents Robert and Maxine Welsh and Frank Jr. and Mayme Wilson.
Brian graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 1996, the Diesel Institute of America (1997) and Triangle Tech of Greensburg. He was employed by CRS Catering and was affiliated with the Church of the Open Door. Brian will be remembered for his kindness, jovial spirit, hearty laugh and deep humility. He always was willing to offer a helping hand for anyone who asked. Brian loved to talk about his job and the many locations he installed vending machines throughout Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland.
His interests included guns, trucks, motorcycles, watching Steelers football games and history, particularly watching the History Channel. He especially enjoyed his visits to Gettysburg, Canton Football Hall of Fame and the Dayton Air Force Museum and attended many air shows at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Westmoreland County. Brian loved spending time with his family and friends and exhibited the utmost regard and reverence for God, family and our country.
The family will greet friends from 12-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, with Pastor Harry Powell officiating and his uncle, Pastor Bruce Wilson, assisting.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Church of the Open Door, 1 Church Ave., Connellsville, Pa. 15425, in memory of Brian.
