Catherine Hrezo Obituary

Catherine Marie (Fiano) Hrezo, 93, of Connellsville, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Hempfield Manor. She was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Nellie, the daughter of the late Felix Fiano and Mary (IDamarco) Fiano. She was a graduate of Connellsville High School and was a loving homemaker. She was a member of the St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, and was a member of the Christian Mothers and Casey Girls. She is survived by her children, Catherine Orndorff and husband, James, and Joseph R. Hrezo II and wife, Sharon, of Connellsville; grandchildren, Brian Orndorff and wife, Christie, of Pelham, N.Y., Stephanie Orndorff, of Pittsburgh, Jamie Orndorff, of Pittsburgh, Julianne Felix and husband, Robert, of Latrobe, and Kimberly Hrezo and fiance, Donald Stewart, of Latrobe; great-grandchildren, Jacob Evans, Nicole, Ashley and Lauren Felix; sister, Jean Ritz of Tampa, Fla.; and also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hrezo (1978); brothers, Phillip, Victor, Nicholas, James, John, Joseph and Michael Fiano; and sisters, Laura McGann, Angela Sherman and Evelyn Martinelli. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. A funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church with Father Gerry Juarez as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Rita's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville. St. Rita's Christian Mothers will hold a memorial ritual at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
