Edith Irene Mancuso, 79, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Connellsville on Oct. 12, 1942. Edie was a kind and loving soul whom loved her family, friends, shopping, Bingo, puzzles and lottery tickets. She worked at the Norvelt Sewing Factory for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Salvadore Mancuso. They were married for 50 years until his death in 2011. She is also predeceased by their beloved daughter, Joann Mancuso (she passed away in 1992); her parents, James and Charlotte Stuart; sisters, Anita, Sonnie, and Judy; and her special pup, Bella. Edie is survived by her daughter, Michelle Mancuso Reich and husband Augie Jr.; daughter Deanne Mancuso Rapp; and two wonderful grandsons, Hunter Reich and Tyler Rapp; her sister, Theresa Ranker; and brother, James Stuart and wife Barb; her very special friend/ "granddaughter" Ally Wright; also her special fur-grandbaby, Louie. We would like to give a special Thank You to the Amedisys Hospice team, especially to Sonnie and Leslie for helping our mom's passing be very peaceful; your kindness will never be forgotten. And to Patti, Edie's caregiver for the last several years, Thank You for taking care of our mom. You were a great friend. God is so great! Following Edie's wishes, funeral services will be private.
