Kenneth R. "Kenny" Nicholson Sr., 77, of Normalville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021. He was born May 27, 1944, in Normalville, a son of the late Oliver Ray and Lena Francis (Porterfield) Nicholson. Kenny was owner/operator of Ken Nicholson and Sons Lumber for many years. When not working Kenny was spending time with their horses or hunting. He also enjoyed attending auctions. Kenny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Joan (Geary) Nicholson; two sons, Brian Nicholson and fiancé Cheryl Williams, and Bill Nicholson; a daughter, Jodi Critchfield and husband Brad; grandchildren, Sarah Hixson and husband Eric, Casey Jones and husband Joe, Kayla Dunn and husband Dan, Tyler Nicholson and wife Emily, Emily Nicholson and fiancé Bryce Butler, Nick Nicholson and wife Caitlin, and Nolan Nicholson and companion Jasmine Stefl; 12 great-grandchildren; and his faithful companions "Nellie" and "Frankie." In addition to his parents, Kenny was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Kendall Jones. Private services were held in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S.
