Ricahrd Shoemaker Obituary

Richard C. Shoemaker, 59, of Connellsville (Dunbar Township), passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1956, in Bastrop, La., a son of the late Jessie Edward Shoemaker and Frances Holliman Shoemaker Wren, of Mississippi. Richard had been a resident of Connellsville for the last 26 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a welder's assistant through the Pipe Liner Union Local 798 in Tulsa, Okla. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of the Connellsville Slovak Club. Richard is survived by his longtime companion, Beverly Guynn, of Connellsville; his brother, Jessie Clyde Shoemaker and wife, Anntoinette, of Oklahoma; and his sister, Toni Foster and companion, James Whiteley, of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Richard was predeceased by a sister, Holly Rogers.
It was Richard's request that there be no viewing or services. Private interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
