Helen Elizabeth Taylor Daniels

1932 - 2023

Our beautiful, wonderful Mother, Helen Elizabeth Taylor Daniels, passed away January 30,2023 at age 90 after coping with Alzheimer's disease for several years. Helen was born November 25, 1932 in Woodland California to Elmer and Ester Taylor. Her Father was a farmer and her Mother was a retired school teacher. Helen was a true Yolo County farm girl, and only child , growing up on the family farm on Co. Rd. 13. Her favorite thing to do was to jump on her horse and ride across the fields and pastures. She attended Woodland High School graduating in 1950. Helen then went to work at Mark's Meat Company in Woodland and met the love of her life, John Daniels. They were happily married for 66 years, raising their family in Woodland.Later in life they became world travelers visiting Europe, Africa, China, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Iceland and many other places. When they got a little older, cruising became their thing . They took several cruises to Alaska, the Hawaiian Islands, the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. Helen was a proud member of Priscilla Club, a social group of mainly women from farming or country living backgrounds. She was a member for over 50 years. Helen also loved to play bridge and belonged to various bridge groups. She was also a member of Thursday Club.Helen leaves behind her daughter Dr. Debra Daniels Campbell, her son John Taylor Daniels (Sid) and her only grandchild, Kyle Daniel Campbell. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband John Daniels. The family would like to recognize and thank Helen's devoted caregivers in her final years with Alzheimer's: Lylah Anderson, Tesedenya Wolde, Azeb Wolde and Anna Lopez. These women were true angels and made Helen's last few years as comfortable as possible. She was surrounded by love. There will be a graveside service at Mary's Chapel and Cemetery on February 17 at 10:00 am.
