Laura May Obituary

Laura M. May, 80 of Roseville, passed away on Nov. 24, at her home. She was born June 25, 1938 in Mineral Point, WI, the daughter of Adeline Humbert (Lippoldt) and Paul Humbert Sr. After her father's passing, Laura moved to Joliet, IL where she graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1956. In 1961 she obtained a Registered Nursing degree from Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital nursing school in Chicago, IL. Laura married Jack Rexroad in 1961 and they settled in Woodland, where she was a homemaker and mother to her four children. She was an active member in PEO and bridge groups, and was a volunteer respite care provider through Citizens Who Care. In 2003 she married Jack May in a ceremony in Carmel, CA. They moved to Roseville, where Laura lived until her passing.Survivors include her husband, Jack May of Roseville; daughter, Julia van der Zeeuw and her husband Bart of Davis; sons, Matthew Rexroad and his wife Jennifer Rexroad of Woodland, Bradley Rexroad and his wife Jennifer Rexroad of Granite Bay, and Phillip Rexroad of Woodland; six grandchildren, Abigail Rexroad and Adam Rexroad of Woodland, Alexander van der Zeeuw of Davis, and Ian Rexroad, Claire Rexroad, and Luke Rexroad of Granite Bay, and a brother, Paul Humbert, Jr. of Vernon, FL.She was preceded in her death by her parents, and an infant son, Mark P. Rexroad, in May 1971.A private, family only memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Granite Bay. Burial will be at Monument Hill Memorial Park in Woodland.
