Anna Eigo, 88 of South Wilbur Ave, Kingston, NY, passed away at home in the comforting presence of her loving family on Thursday, February 17th, 2022.She was born in Czechoslovakia on May 25th, 1933, a daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Merker) Cermak.Anna immigrated to the United States in 1950 and settled in Kingston, NY. She enjoyed various employments throughout Kingston, including the Fuller Shirt Factory, where she had met her future husband of sixty-one years, John "Jack" Eigo, Sr. Together they raised their family of three children.Anna enjoyed being a homemaker and was devoted to her catholic faith, attending both Holy Name of Jesus Church in Wilbur and then St. Colman's in East Kingston. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.She is survived by one son, John J. Eigo, Jr and his wife Joy of Kingston, two daughters, Deborah Mine and her husband Michael of Glenmont, NY, Linda Lowe and her husband Steven of Kingston, nine grandchildren, Marie Eigo, Victoria Eigo, Melissa Eigo Hammersley, Hans Eigo, Aric (Mara) Mine, Jennifer (Michael) Anderson, Larissa (Logan) Street, Kiersten (Bradley) Bahruth, Michael (Allison) Lowe, and eleven great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Eigo, Sr. (2016), and two brothers, Herman and Franz Cermak.Anna's family will receive friends at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.There is no procession from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday, February 21, 2022 at St. Colman's Church, Rev. William Scafidi, celebrant.
