Here's a poem Bobbi wrote on the spot & gave to me after I told her about an outdoor writers group meeting at John Burroughs sanctuary, Slabsides.
Brrrr! Brave poets, warm words needed:
burnt sienna, rust and gold.
You don hats while trees strip-tease
but trees don't sneeze
Or so I'm told. Or catch a cold???)

Bobbi was a good friend and I miss her just about every day. Always so cheerful and intelligent--it's difficult to accept that we no longer have her. "I am not resigned to the shutting away of loving hearts into the hard ground. I know. But I am not resigned." Edna St. Vincent Millay

I am so sorry to learn of Bobbi's passing. She was an incredible poet and writer, a wonderful teacher and mentor, and a fascinating woman. Our family had the privilege of hosting her one Christmas Eve in Paris and she attended a candlelight service at the American Church there with us. I was grateful she stayed in touch over the years. Heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be missed.

My condolences to Bobbi's family and all the others who knew her. I've been saddened by this news ever since I heard. She was such a pleasure to speak with and be around, always. We had recently discussed making a book with poems about art. Her creativity never stopped and her light was always shining. Gracious, honest, and caring. Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear of Bobbi's passing. She was a dear, sweet, strong woman, and I will remember her with great fondness. We got acquainted over the past few years through Bard LLI. I helped her with computer issues here and there, and she was always appreciative. She expressed her appreciation by hosting a lovely lunch for my granddaughter Fiona and me at her condo in Sept 2021. It was a delightful few hours for all of us! She also made me "warm chicken soup" when I was under the weather earlier this year. A dear soul, that woman. I hope to attend the celebration of her life in May.
My sincerest condolences, Lori...

This is a poem of Bobbi´s that she gifted to me last Spring:
Spring Is
Spring is when
the morning sputters like
bacon
and
your
sneakers
run
down
the
stairs
so fast you can hardly keep up with them
and
spring is when
your scrambled eggs
jump
off
the
plate
and turn into a million daffodils
trembling in the sunshine.
Thank you Bobbi for your sunshine.

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Bobbi on May 9th of this year to interview her as part of our Unitarian Universalist Sunday service. She spoke about why she came to UUCC. I was delighted to hear about her life with UUCC, which I recorded. She was a warm and welcoming presence.

I miss Bobbi so much already--her infinite joy, her wide interests and knowledge, and the little everyday kindnesses she bestowed to everybody in her orbit. She meant so much to those of us lucky enough to call her a friend.
