Brian S. Brandt MOUNT MARION - Brian S. Brandt, 52 of Plattekill Drive, Mount Marion died Sunday morning, Feb. 9, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 11, 1961 in Kingston, he is the son of Charles and Judith (Allen) Brandt. Brian was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed building very much. He loved to travel to places with beaches, motorcycles and classic cars. Surviving is his wife, Carol Foley Diers; his children, Scott Michael Brandt and his wife Megan, Matthew Brandt, Jarod Diers and Kristi Diers and her fiancé Travis; his brothers and sisters, Randy Brandt and his wife Joann, Cheri Brandt Daniels, Todd Brandt and his wife Marabeth; brothers and sisters in law, Thomas and Nancy Foley, Diane and Ray Mendock; grandchildren, Guy Michael Diers and Robert Francis Maximus Diers. Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh.com Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation to be held at the Wiltwyck Crematory.

I had only crossed paths with him a few times in the last 20yrs or so .But i remember him from growing up in Mt Marion and he always had a smile or a kind word to offer. He will be missed.
