David and I were extremely close while we were at Brown together. We took many road trips and were even counselors at a Camp in Maine in1963. He was an Usher in my wedding in1965. We saw each other once since then but thinking of him will forever make me smile. May his memory be for a blessing. Bob Dickman M.D. Bosypn MA

Dr. David Rosenbaum embodied all that is good in humanity. I was honored as a disability lawyer to work with him on many cases throughout the years. When I told my clients who treated with him of his passing, every one of them, without exception, was devastated. One recent story speaks volumes about his outstanding character and his unmatched compassion. My client, who suffers from a severe neurodegenerative disease, who treated with Dr Rosenbaum, was facing loss of benefits without an immediate report from him. I called and asked him if he could see my client that day via telehealth so he and his family (which included disabled children) could continue to pay their bills. He immediately complied and emailed me the report. It was not until after he furnished me the crucial report that he shared that he was dying. I could not believe that facing his own mortality and physically suffering as much as he was, he put aside his own heartache to help this severely disabled man and his family. The loss of David Rosenbaum is not just a great loss to his patients, it is an enormous loss to the world. I was honored to know him, and I will always hold in my heart his example of supreme courage and un-equalled compassion. God bless you David Rosenbaum. May you rest in peace.

RIP, David. it was such a pleasure to get to know you and celebrate our birthdays together at A Tavola, where you and Catherine are celebrities. Your knowledge and appreciation of wine and food was so appreciated, but it was your conversation and personality which lit up the table. I wish i had known your background on French lit, i would have loved to chat about Molière and Racine. Your family will be a treasure for me in the future as you are such a part of them. Thank you for making this world a more healthy, intelligent, fun, urbane place. Truly you are a one of a kind! Your light will shine brightly in our memories.
