Dianna L. Williams EDWARDS, N.Y.- Dianna L. Williams, age 71, of Edwards and formerly of Kingston, N.Y., passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on April 28, 2018 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. There will be a Celebration of Dianna’s Life held at the Stepping Stone Ministries, 165 Smith Road, Gouverneur, N.Y., on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 12 p.m. Dianna was born on Oct. 11, 1946 in Kingston, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Pothemont) Petersen. Dianna graduated from Kingston High School in 1964. She married George E. Williams on Oct. 11, 1964 in Kingston. The couple lived in the Kingston area for most of their lives, having spent 30 years in Eddyville. The couple moved to Edwards, N.Y., in 2007. George passed away on Aug. 15, 2009. Dianna worked as the head teller for Ulster Saving Bank in Kingston until her retirement in 2006 after 10 years of service there. She was a member of the American Legion Post 1219 in Rosendale – Tillson, and enjoyed playing Bingo. In her free time, she loved time spent working on crafts and crocheting with her close friend, Cheri Tebo; and taking talking walks with Jim Tebo. Her survivors include her three sons and their wives, George Jr. and Tracy of Saugerties, Scott and Amber of Crestview, Fla., Jason of Eddyville; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ron Stein of Poughkeepsie; and seven grandchildren, Konner, Kylie, Hunter, (and their mother, Kimberly) Lauryn, Haley, Cooper, and Zachary.
