Edward R. McHugh

Edward R. McHugh ULSTER PARK- Edward R. McHugh, 85 of Ulster Park died Sunday, May 8, 2011at home surrounded by his family. Born Nov. 4, 1925 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Edward Jerome and Rite Marie McHugh. Before his retirement in 1985 he worked for the New York City Sanitation Dept. in Greenpoint as a Chief Engineer. He is pre-deceased by his son, Edward R. McHugh, Jr. Mr. McHugh is survived by his wife the former Doris Motondo, with whom he recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. Surviving children are: daughter, Doris Wallace and husband Andrew Wallace of Bradenton , Fla.; daughter, Kathy Higgins and husband James Higgins of Middlesex, N.J.; daughter, Karen Rudy of Brooklyn; son, Robert McHugh and wife Sally of Ulster Park; brother Richard McHugh of East Brentwood: Eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Services are private. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery with full military honors. Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen.
