Eric Elliott

Eric Robert Elliott, 64, of Ulster County, New York, passed on in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday December 28th, 2022. He is the son of the late Elmer R. Elliott and Jeanne L. (Rylance) Elliott. He is predeceased by his brother, Gary Elliott. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Eric is survived by his children; Story L. Elliott D.O. [Christopher Talbot D.O.], Stephen A. Elliott, Benjamin E. Elliott [Genevieve McClendon] and Dustin J. Collins J.D., and grandchildren; Ruby and Violet Elliott, Alasdair Talbot and Diana Collins.He is also survived by his dearest friend Lisa DiCarlo, his sister Nancy Elliott, loving in-laws, nieces Tania Cawthron, Brianna Koller and nephew Garett Koller. Eric was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Truckee. He worked as a stone mason and carpenter leaving a legacy of beautiful workmanship in many homes and local businesses. He was an avid reader, always absorbing new information, and a proficient storyteller of his many adventures. Eric loved spending time with friends/family, driving the backroads of his Catskills stomping grounds, western movies, hiking and traveling where and when he could. Eric was devoted to his children and never missed a family gathering or celebration of important milestones. He was very proud of his family and always supportive and celebratory of their achievements. His humor and hugs are deeply missed.A private ceremony was held by his family at Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery in Kingston, New York, where his remains were cremated on December 31st, 2022. A celebration of his life will be held on August 26 from 1-4pm at Arrowood Farms in Accord, NY.
