George B. Leonardo MARYLAND, N.Y.- George B. Leonardo, 60, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 18, 1952 in Kingston; the son of Albert and Betty (Gulnick) Leonardo, Sr. George married Marie Ward on Jan. 24, 1988 in Maryland. He was employed at the Schenevus Central School for many years. He was a past member of the CH Graham Hose Co. and the Schenevus-Maryland Emergency Squad. George is survived by his wife, Marie Leonardo of Maryland; a daughter, Victoria Leonardo and her husband Jared, of Maryland; two sons, Anthony and Salvatore Leonardo, both of Maryland; two brothers, Albert (Linda) Leonardo Jr. of Fla. and Robert (Winifred) Leonardo of Kingston; two sisters, Gertrude (Gary) Tomczyk Sr. of Kingston and Denise Tomczyk of Binghamton; a brother-in-law Larry (Fran) Ward of Maryland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Kirk Leonardo. Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch Street in Schenevus. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM officiating.
