I am very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed his art class very much when I was a student at J. W. Bailey Junior High. I was one of his students that came after classes for model aircraft building. My first flying models were built in that club. I remember that I crashed quite a few of them on the brick walls in that courtyard outside of his class. I have always enjoyed aviation as a result of that experience and I now am now an engineer at Boeing. I really appreciated Jim and I know he will be missed. Please know that your family is in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that a fellow Modelmaster has passed. My regards to his family. I have never met James myself but his cartoons for the Modelmasters News Letters will live on. I am the current editor and love all of his cartoons. They still continue and will always bring joy to everyone that sees them.

The BEST Art teacher ever!! I thought of him often. I have, by no means, grown to be an artist, but his lessons on life, as well as art, are the ones I remember. So sorry for the loss.

Mrs. Kaman, Liz, Ruth, Jen and family...it seems like only yesterday that we would all be over at the Kaman house playing in the backyard or the basement. The "Hurley Girls" were always welcomed and treated with love and respect by you and your husband. Some of us were just remembering those times last weekend. Thank you for all the memories growing up, raising amazing daughters and for allowing us to celebrate Mr. Kaman's life as a teacher, artist, neighborhood dad, and friend. Phillipians 1:3

Dear Pam, Ruth, Liz and Jen,
Jim was a very special man. He was a man of great creative talent and imagination. He had a fabulously wry sense of humor and a keen appreciation of life's ironies. We always enjoyed my conversations with Jim in which we discussed all matter of topics. He was a dear man and a most blessed one too. He was blessed to have such warm and loving daughters and a devoted and loving wife and partner in life. Jim is at peace now and in the loving hands of God. We will miss him! You are all in our thoughts and in our prayers. Our most heartfelt sympathies and condolences. Love, Jennifer and Farid

Jim was a man after my own heart. He did the art work for my books on how to build model aeroplanes. He also did the art work for Don Ross'book on building We also shared the joy of tin toys. Spent many hours sitting at his kitchen table when I was back on a trip fixing toys. We also shared an interest in magic. His excellent art work adorned his Christmas cards, which I looked forward to every year.
We will all miss Jim. He added a lot to our lives. To know Jim , Pam ,and his lovely daughters was a great privilege. Celebrate his life!

To the Kaman family,
I was so sorry to read of Mr. Kaman's passing. A wonderful man with a dry, spot on wit and sense of humor. Lizzie, you and Matt did a wonderful thing for your parents thus he was able to stay at home surrounded by his loving
wife and family. There is a lot of comfort to be taken in that. May he be at peace now . My love, thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all.
