John Roberti Obituary

John F. Roberti SAUGERTIES - John F. Roberti, 74, of Malden Tpk. died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 24, 2010 at the Kingston Hospital. Born June 25, 1936 in Kingston he was the son of the late Louis and Rose Santamorena Roberti. A life time area resident he was employed for many years as a machinist at Treasure Chest retiring in 1998. He also was a long time employee of Hudson Cement Company as well as several other manufacturing facilities. He was a decorated veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Allagash as a first class machinist during the Korean War. He was a former member of Malden West Camp Fire Company. Survivors include his wife of 52 years the former Carolyn Scism. Two daughters: Lisa and her husband Phil Uvino of Saugerties and Roseann and her husband Jon Decker of Palenville. Two brothers: Nicholas and Louis Roberti of Kingston. One grandson: Jon Decker, Jr. and several nieces and nephews also survive. His funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Friends will be received Monday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.SeamonWilseyFuneral Home.com Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
