Joseph T. Apa, Sr. 93, Gulfport, FL passed peacefully on June 15, 2023. Born November 28, 1929 in Kingston, NY to Eugene Apa and Elizabeth Alecca Apa. Joe worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., retiring at age 55 and starting his second career as a furniture builder and store owner, called Wood'n'Things.Joe is survived by his children, Garry Apa (Joan), Ginger Apa Mills, Diane McGrew (Robert), Cynthia Apa, and Joseph Apa Jr., and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his wives whom he loved dearly Ann Coughlin and Dorothy Boyle, also his sons Eugene Apa and Robert Krom, his sisters Jennie Spada and Frances Molinaro. Local memorial arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home,Inc. 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. In honoring Joe's wishes there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 12th 10:00 AM at St. Colman's Church in East Kingston.
