Loretta Keeley Obituary

Loretta Keeley ROCKAWAY BEACH, N.Y.- Loretta Keeley, 92, of Rockaway Beach, N.Y., and Kingston, N.Y., passed away peacefully in the comforting presence of her children on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus in Kingston, N.Y. Born on March 10, 1926 in New York, N.Y.; Loretta was the daughter of the late Philip and Loretta Gully. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Couillard and her husband John of West Shokan, and her son, James Keeley and his wife Dawn Bauer of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is preceded in death by brothers, Philip, Joseph, and George Gully, and sister, Gladys Dobbins. Loretta was a homemaker, and in addition to raising her children she enjoyed spending days at the beach in Rockaway with family and friends, taking long walks on the boardwalk and sharing time with loved ones. In Kingston she made many new friends and shared with them all the rich enjoyments that Kingston offers. In Rockaway and Kingston she was a devoted friend and neighbor to young and old alike. A private service will be held at Wiltwyck Cemetery Mausoleum on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. For those who wish, contributions in Loretta’s memory may be made to Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Rd., Kingston, N.Y.
