Marilyn L. Benkart

Marilyn L Benkart, 60, of Kingston, NY, passed away on December 22, 2023 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center.Born on November 8th, 1963 in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late David F. and Patricia (O'Malley) Benkart, Sr.Marilyn graduated from Red Hook High School in 1981. She attended college at SUNY Cobleskill, where she made lasting friendships that enriched her academic and personal experiences.Over the years, Marilyn worked for Mohonk Mountain House, Rocking Horse Ranch, and most recently at DSW in Kingston.Marilyn loved cats, jewelry making, painting, and most of all, shopping. She had a special eye when it came to fashion and always kept herself close to the industry.Marilyn loved meeting new people and always had a smile and a good word for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, including colleagues and friends at Kingston DSW and Gateway.Marilyn is survived by her brothers James (Mary) Benkart of Red Hook, NY and David F.Benkart Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA. Many nieces & nephews, colleagues, and great friends also survive Marilyn.Her sisters, Pamela Benkart Ranger and Beverly Benkart predeceased her.Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm.
