Marta L. Rivera

Marta L. Rivera, 80, of Kingston, died Saturday February 5, 2022 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born June 6, 1941 in Citala, Metapan El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Agustin Castoneda and Angela Rivera. She loved gardening, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her children, Nora Fuentes, Julia Fuentes, Ivan Rivera, Mauricio Rivera, Eduardo Rivera, Norma Lemus, Maritza Gallo and Sendy O'Brien. Also her adopted daughter Ana Leal and her children Henry, Carolina, Edgard and Lily Leal. Sons-in-law, Genaro Leal, Jovel Cardona, John Gallo, Felix Lemus,and Shawn O'Brien. Sister to Antonia, Abel, and Lola. Her grandchildren are Leo, John, Stephanie, Sandra C., Sandra M., Odilia, Charlie, George, Jimmy, Sophia, Mayandi, Brenda, Jennifer, Irving, Angel, Jefferson, Melani, Antonio and Max. Marta's oldest son, Francisco Fuentes, her brothers and sisters Blanca, Verenice, Tito and Elvia all predeceased her. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. A funeral procession will form 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM at Saint Mary's Church.
