We found out tonight that Peter had passed earlier this year. We have been patrons of the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco for over 30 years. Peter was a warm and professional presence at HPR. He was our go-to bartender and always made us feel welcome. We knew how much he loved his house in Oakland. What a great guy. We have missed him on our recent trips and tonight we had the nerve to ask after Peter...and heard about his passing. We shared a toast to him. As long as we live here in SF and can get our aging bodies to HPR, we'll remember kind and able Peter and continue to toast his memory. We'll never forget him.

I remember Peter when I went to Nancy Lorenzen's house and we would walk over to visit with the family. I visited Peter twice when I was out in California. He loved talking about New Paltz and all of our friends etc. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I was in cute and wonderful Pete's class until my family moved from New Paltz to Florida in '68. He was well known to be a great guy, and true Huguenot! God love you Peter. I'm honored to have shared a part of your life.

From the moment I met Peter I loved him. In nursery school I would cry until the teachers let me go into his playground to be with him. He lived in my heart.
