Philip Breithaupt Obituary

Philip M. Breithaupt SAUGERTIES- Philip M. Breithaupt, Jr., 87, of West Bridge Street died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at the Kingston City Hospital. Born in Saugerties on August 26, 1923 to the late Philip and Mary Simmons Breithaupt. A lifetime area resident, he was employed at Central Hudson Gas and Electric in Saugerties, Hunter Mtn. and Poughkeepsie for many years. A veteran of the United States Army he served during W.W. II. He was a member of the Saugerties Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5034. An avid outdoorsman he loved to fish and pheasant hunt. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in 1999, survivors include one daughter: Phyllis Freligh of West Camp and one son: Richard D. Breithaupt of N.C. Two grandchildren Mary Jane Arquette and Jillian Breithaupt. Phil was predeceased by two sisters: Sarah Tymeson and Stella Breithaupt and one brother: James Breithaupt. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. cor. of ohn and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Spring internment will be held in the Eastern View Cemetery, West Camp.
