My family is from Pune, and do cherish fond memories of Shirley, ,from way back in the 1960s. I went to the same church and we attended Sunday school, along with Vijay Samuel , Mark Pillai, Satish Jadhav, and other old friends. She was also a meticulous surgeon , skillfully repairing our beloved dog Sooty´s ear, in the 1970s
God bless her family and friends and all who partake in this remembrance.

So painful. I learnt of Shirley's passing this evening. She was a wonderful and very friendly lady who I met at a vet conference in 2013. We exchanged emails, were friends on Facebook , planning to meet again. May God give her family the strength to bear this loss. I will miss you girlfriend

I did not know Dr. Koshi, but I feel like I know her now. I have been grieving for her all day. Her story has touched me in a way I never thought possible. You, Dr. Koshi, are a shining light and your life will be an inspiration to me until the day I die. We remember her with great feeling and love, although we have not been in contact with her for a protracted period of time, we pray that she is given heavenly abode. May her soul rest in Peace. It was really shocking to hear about Shirley's sudden death. I was very fond of her. I admired her not only for her knowledge, her ability to call a spade a spade, and her guts. she would have hated to be old and dependent on someone else. May her family get the strength to face her loss. My heart goes out to Uncle.

she was a sweet and devoted doctor. I met her when I brought my new kitten to her office in Riverdale. She opened the door to me a few weeks ago to discuss a problem with another one of my cats. she was willing to discuss and share her knowledge. Thank you Shirley. I'm truly sorry you have left us
