WILLIAM J. 'WILLY' BRANDT SAUGERTIES- Willy Brandt, 38, of Austin Avenue Saugerties, died Friday July 22, 2011 at Albany medical Center with his family at his side. Born in Cortlandt, April 27, 1973 a son of William E. and Anna E. McQueeney Brandt of Woodstock. Employed locally as an electrician and plumber, Will enjoyed the outdoors, boating, camping fishing, tinkering with cars, always reliable to lend a hand, he frequently cleared snow from neighbors, friends, and family driveways. Surviving in addition to his father and mother, are his wife; Malynda "Mandy" A. (Wyman) Brandt. one brother, Edward V. Brandt and his wife Kelly, of Fishkill, a sister, Marilyn Brandt, and her husband Tyler B. Smith of St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, mother-in-law Diane Roosa, of Kingston, a nephew, Connor Hughes, an aunt, and cousins also survive. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston N.Y. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial Montrepose Cemetery.
