ANNE E. COLUNI

Anne E. Coluni, 90, of McFarlan Street, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany surrounded by family, after a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, she was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and was an original member of the Psi Chi Phi club for more than 70 years. Ann was a parishioner of the former St. Michael the Archangel Church and was a member of the St. Michael's Auxiliary and the Santa Sofia Society. She was employed by the Amsterdam Glove Shop until she retired. She married John R. Coluni, her high school sweetheart, on Feb. 8, 1942. She leaves her children, son, Louis W. Coluni and his wife, Donna of Mansaquan, New Jersey; daughters, Anne Marie Ukeritis and her husband, Joseph of Hagaman, NY, and Frances Zumbolo and her husband, Anthony of Albany; her grandchildren, John, Gregory and wife, Laurie and Elizabeth Coluni, all of New Jersey, Betsy and Jennifer Ukeritis and Colleen Torres and her husband, Noel of Amsterdam, Angela and Anthony Zumbolo of Albany and her great-grandson, Marcus John Torres; her brothers, Albert Marsicane of Whitesboro, John Marsicano of Greensboro NC and Vito Marsicano of Charlotte NC and nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John, on January 10, 2003, an infant daughter, Colleen in January 1949, her parents, Francesco and Francesca Priore Marsicano, and two sisters, Sophie Lee Marsicano and Carmela Romano. Services are Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 9:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, celebrant. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
