10/30/22 -- Nancy & Betsy -- I just heard about your Dad passing away. I actually just pulled into the top of the hill on Garlock Rd TODAY, and was wondering how he was still doing that hill!!! And then I saw someone at Sherman's who told me he had passed away. I am now steeped in nostalgia of all the good times our families had, esp the adults! They sure knew how to party, and they were all such good friends. Bud is the last of them to go. And it seems like a generation has now passed on. I guess it has. I was thinking how they met -- at Camp Lou Henry Hoover [before we were born!] where they were counselors and my Aunt JL [previous owner of your camp] was the Camp Director...and they have been friends ever since. I will always think of both he and your Mom fondly and all the times I visited them in Florida, and what good friends they were to my mother and father. I am thinking about all of you fondly today. Mr. Frye was my chemistry teacher in high school. He was an excellent educator, very patient and understanding. He stimulated in me a lifelong interest in chemistry. Thank you for that. RIP

Many wonderful memories of teaching with Bud at Knox Junior High School. When I read the obituary, I just laughed out loud as it was so Bud! He always had a smile on his face, and he loved working with the students. I am so sorry! Joyce
