Doris A. Cameron

Doris A. Cameron Clifton Park, New York Doris A. Cameron, 86, of Clifton Park, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a short illness. Doris was born on July 28, 1926 in her grandmother's house in Union City, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Harold and Lilly (Haas) Herzog. After graduating high school, Doris worked for 18 years at Bankers Trust Company on Wall Street. During her employment she made many wonderful friends and memories. She often talked about what an amazing time it was to be on Wall Street and the ticker tape parades she witnessed, most notably the WWII victory parades. Doris left work to raise her children and was a homemaker. Doris will best be remembered for her selfless and positive spirit. She always enjoyed a cold glass of wine or beer. She was an avid sports fan, particularly tennis, and enjoyed dining out at her favorite restaurant. She loved crossword puzzles and playing games with friends and family. Nobody could beat her at Scrabble. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur J. Cameron; her brother, Harold Herzog; and her sister, Ruth Herzog. Survivors include her loving children, Robert Cameron of Clifton Park and Patricia Cameron of Memphis, TN; and nieces, Susan Stellato of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and Ruth Pack of Hollis, NH. At Doris's request there will be no calling hours. Inurnment will be with her husband at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to can make a donation in Doris's memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C.
