Fanchon B. Noxon

Fanchon B. (Durfee) Noxon RotterdamFanchon B. (Durfee) Noxon died quietly at home on Oct. 28, 2013 at age 99. She was born on Oct. 6, 1914 the daughter of Benjamin and Kate Durfee in Breakabeen, Schoharie County, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, DeWitt S. Noxon, who she married on March 15, 1933 at the Methodist Church in Richmondville, NY by the Rev. George Swart, uncle of DeWitt S. Noxon. They were married for 73 years. She was also predeceased by her brother, Gordon Durfee. Mrs. Noxon graduated from Middleburgh Central High School in 1932. She was a housewife and mother. She also worked at Knolls Atomic Power Lab (KAPL) in Niskayuna for 11 years as well as Price Chopper for three years. She is survived by her son, Orlo L. Noxon and his wife, Nancy of Rochester, NY and her daughter, Nola A. Fiorillo and her husband, Daniel of Rotterdam, NY and her sisterin-law, Marie Noxon of Cobleskill, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Deborah Harnett, Mindy Noxon, Vickie Waterman and Richard Fiorillo; great-grandchildren, Nicole Lucas, DeWitt Noxon, Walter Bishop, Caleb Waterman, Marissa Waterman, Stephanie DiCocco, Michael DiCocco and Morgan Harnett; and great great-grandchildren, Wesley Rivera and Kylie DiCocco. Calling hours will be held at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY on Fri., Nov. 1, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Sat., Nov. 2, 2013 in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park.
