Jane Keith Obituary

Jane (Phinney) Keith, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 17th at her daughter's home in Rotterdam, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, NY, Jane was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Mabel (Powers) Phinney and a graduate of Milne High School and Mildred Elly Business School. A former claims representative for Schenectady Insuring Agency for many years, Jane was a member of the Christ Church of the Hills and the Princetown Seniors. An avid reader, Jane enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, baking, traveling and her time spent with her grandchildren and family. Predeceased by her husband, William Keith Sr.; and her brothers, Arthur W. Phinney and Robert Phinney. Jane is survived by her children, William Keith (Mary) of Salem, NY, J. Christine Salerno (late Louis) of Rotterdam, Douglas Keith of Billings, Montana, Joan Coneski (Paul) of Saratoga and James Keith (Jami-Ann) of Rotterdam; her nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon, March 22nd at 2 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY, with Rev. Susan Strang officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam. Contributions may be made in Jane's memory to Pet Connection, 341 Northern Blvd., Albany, NY 12065 or to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
