Joan and George Honor Obituary

Joan and George Honor George and Joan, were married for 64 years. George passed away December 27, 2017. Joan passed away, April 27, 2023.
They lived in Schenectady, most of their lives. George was in the Air Force, and worked for AT&T for 40 years. Joan also worked for AT&T, before staying home to raise their 4 children. Joan went on to become a teachers aide for handicapped children.
They were volunteers of the AT&T Pioneers, and active in the MDA association.
They lived in Connecticut and then New Jersey before moving back to Schenectady. They were living in VA to be with family, when they passed.
They were predeceased by their son, Stephen, who passed away in 1979.
They are survived by 3 daughters, Cheryl, (Mark) Sullivan, Kim, (Mike) DeVellis, Dianne, (Steven) Wright. Also, their bonus children, Paul, (Kristine) Oleksiak and Carol Klopotowski.
There will be a Christian Mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady at 9 a.m. on Monday, July, 15, 2024.
Then interment in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 2150 Central Ave, Schenectady. Followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering in Scotia.
Donations, may be made to Alzheimer's or Hospice.

I´m so sorry for your losses! My boys were asking about Granma Joan; she was a big part of our lives when we lived in Cheshire! And my husband worked with George at AT&T. Many fond memories keep them alive in our hearts!
