Hi Dad, I know you are happy in a better place now. Give your wife a hug and let her know that Jay misses you two terribly. I'm sorry I never met Millie, but Dad; you were the best! I often envision you singing those songs to me while I cooked dinner for three. You are really missed. I hope to see you again one day, until.....

I was very sad when Pat called to tell me that his dad passed away. I spent almost my entire childhood at the Mulligans House. Growing up only two houses away 3 West Circular Court was the place to be. Mr. Mulligan was the greatest...He was such a warm and gentle man who loved people and loved life. He would do anything for anyone. Mr. Mulligan had that personality that made people he came in contact with feel special. So many funny stories and so many awesome memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jay, Candy, Kevin, Danny and Pat. Rest in peace Mr. Mulligan... You will be missed....

It is with misty eyes that I send my heartfelt condolences to Jay & Kevin and the entire Mulligan clan. How blessed we were to have your very special Dad as a part of our lives during the formative HS years, and how honored I was to call him not just a Teacher or Coach, but friend! We all strive to be what he was every day of his life...passionate and compassionate, joyful and humorous, tough as nails, but easy to love, and filled with kindness and decency! God bless you Mr. Mulligan, and I can just imagine how you're lining up the Angels to help you organize the most heavenly Wrestling Tournament of all! Here's to you, and may you rest assured that you positively impacted many and that you will never be forgotten! Please give our buddy Dick Joyce a big hug for me! 'Til we meet again...

I loved your Dad, especially his sense of humor. We attended many wrestling matches where your dad was heckled by my dad from the stands. The comments were something like "Where did you go to college, Ithaca?" when he knew full well that your dad was a graduate of Springfield College as was he.. John led a full life and was loved by many. I wish you the best during this difficult time.

With satisfaction, I am glade to have had Mr. John J. Mulligan in one chapter of my life. Not only has he been a friend, inspiration, teacher and mentor, he has helped mold me in a vision of someone to being the best I could be. A part of Mr. John J. Mulligan is in me; the teachings – an element I saw in him, I tried to implant in myself when I became responsible and had a family. I saw how much of a family person Mr. Mulligan was and it is that element. You lead a good life Mr. Mulligan; I just hope you continue the works in Heaven. We will always remain friends in Christ.
