I remember John as a keen competitor; also for his good counsel, but mostly for his kind and generous nature. RIP my friend. Thanks for being a witness.

When John and my sister Janine were married, many of his family members spoke at the wedding. They all seemed so comfortable speaking and said such wonderful things that I regrettably chose not to try and follow them. I say regrettably because John had been such a blessing to our family that I thought I needed to express just how much we all appreciated him, and how fortunate we felt to have him be a part of our family.
I feel fairly confident that over the years John came to realize how grateful Janine's entire family was that he had come into our world. He gave all of us so much friendship, love, and support.
Despite his many accomplishments, I found John to be incredibly humble. He didn't really like it when I called him "Doctor", but he was willing to tolerate it on the golf course. Our golf outings with nephews Bill and Joseph were always an adventure.
Thank you so much for everything John - it is difficult to put into words just how much you will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family. I only knew John the last few years through our Union Lake men's softball team. He was a great teammate who was competitive and a very smart pitcher! He helped us finish the season as playoff champs!

John, though you were a half-dozen years older than me (which I seldom let you forget), we shared so many childhood memories. I cherish the time we´ve spent reminiscing, and I´m grateful we had a chance to grow so close the last few years. Thank you for the love and patience you gave when I was a pesky child who constantly followed you around. Thank you for all the help and support you gave while we each spent countless hours digging through genealogical websites and records - and I´m so sorry we missed the trip to Poland you so wanted to take. Thank you for thinking of me more as a sister than a cousin, and for being like a big brother. Our grandparents would have been so proud of your accomplishments, the family you raised, and the man you became. Please give them a big hug and a kiss for me. Rest peacefully, #33, you always were a champion.
