Wer im Gedächtnis seiner Lieben lebt, ist nicht tot, der ist nur fern. Tot ist nur, wer vergessen wird.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Betzwieser and the recent passing of Mrs Betzwieser. I rented their third floor apartment around 1992 to 93. They were wonderful people. So kind and generous. We exchanged Christmas cards for a few years after I got married and moved away. I have thought of them often. My sincere condolences to their family

Dear Christa, Albert, Gerhard, and extended families,
We are saddened by the news of your dad's passing, but take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, pain free, and with his beloved Gretel once again. He will always be admired as a man dedicated to his family, community, and heritage.
Linda and I will always remember Joe as a loving, thoughtful, kindhearted, and endearing friend. He was a joy to be with at Germania and in our choral travels throughout New York. His disposition and wonderful spirit always included a smile, kind words, and sincere interest in your conversation. Joe taught us how to enjoy each other's camaraderie with Gemütlichkeit, and to do it with class; he will always be our Liedervater and Alte Kamerad.
On behave of the New York State Sängerbund, may God Bless you and your families with peace and love at this sorrowful time. We will keep Joseph, Gretel and you in our hearts and prayers.
Mögen sie in Frieden ruhen, und in Gottes Segen geborgen
May they Rest in Peace and be secure in Gods Blessings
