When I was a young mother newly separated from my husband I was advised by my family to go visit the judge. I went to his office on broadway in 1986 and he right away wanted to know which Gailor I was. He was kind and so reassuring to me. Rest easy sir!

It was in 1988 that Larry officiated the marriage between my wife and I in Saratoga. I remember that he asked the question about "if anyone here knows of a reason why these two should not be married..." My wife and I both said "No." since we were the only ones there besides the witnesses, and his response was, with a grin, "Well of course not!" Never forgot that! We are visiting Saratoga again on our 30'th anniversary and we're saddened by the news of his passing. Condolences and best wishes to the family.

You renewed our wedding vows for us New Years Day 2000 at the Grand Union Hotel in a snow storm. We will never forget how nice you were. We would often see you at the VFW and Elks. You would welcome us and always knew who we were. Both Doug and I are saddened by your passing. Of to the big racetrack in the sky!

I am one half of the many happily married couples that were married by Larry. In 1985. In 1979 I appeared before him on a New Years afternoon, a few hours after I was arrested for taking a garbage truck for a "joy ride" with a couple of other New Years eve revelers . Well THAT was the start of a beautiful friendship! It's been many years since I've seen Judge as the husband was from So. Jersey where we live now. But when ever I did see him we always had a laugh, he was truly one of the most amazing people I've ever know. He will be missed but live on in his beautiful family. I pray for you all and I know his spirit is "still alive in the 8th" (race) God rest his soul and sympathy to you all.

We had the honor to know Larry, professionally and socially. He was always there for us, always with his famous smile, and friendly greeting: Hello Brother. His legal practice was more about helping others, and not about making money. He showed compassion, and a love for his friends and his community. As they say, they don't make them like that anymore. Our condolences to his daughters and friends.

Judge, you are Mister Sarstoga, and you will be missed by so many of your friends at your favorite August place.
I will miss seeing you walk up to your box seats wearing your bright fashionable Suit jackets.
I once asked Tracy where you bought your jackets, but then I thought I could never pull it off like you did.
RIP, you will be missed, especially from your family.
