Leonard Edward Prescott, Jr. Clifton Park - Leonard Edward Prescott, Jr., age 71, of Woodin Road, died peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1952, in Troy, NY and was the son of the late Leonard Edward Prescott and Ruth Wilhelmina Finkle Prescott.
Mr. Prescott grew up in Troy and was a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School. He moved to Clifton Park in the early 60's, where he raised his family.
He worked as a mechanic for Material Handling Products in Schenectady, and he loved working on all things mechanical and electronic. He was also an avid gardener with a "green thumb" and a love for flowers. An outdoorsman, Leonard always enjoyed fishing, mountain biking and anything having to do with the outdoors.
He was the beloved husband of the late Deborah M. Prescott whom he married on May 27, 1973; loving father of Eric (Jaime) Prescott, Jeffrey (Michelle Nadeau) Prescott, Faith Prescott, and Grace (Bill Seibert) Prescott; devoted grandfather of Jacob, Ethan, Johnathan, Joshua, Olivia, Celestine, Devon, Logan and Hunter; and caring uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville, NY.
